Basketball Recap: Christian Academy Skates Past Evansville Christian with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Christian Academy over Evansville Christian in every quarter on their way to victory on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Christian Academy Warriors blew the Evansville Christian Eagles out of the water with a 52-20 final score. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joshua Renfro, who posted 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. That's the most assists Renfro has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Noah Vance, who went 5 of 7 en route to 12 points.

The win made it two in a row for Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 11-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points over those games. As for Evansville Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Coming up, Christian Academy will venture away from home to take on Henryville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Evansville Christian, they will host Wood Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wood Memorial knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 games -- so hopefully Evansville Christian likes a good challenge.
