Baseball Recap: Chewelah Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

While Chewelah put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Reardan. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Screaming Eagles. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

The victory (which was Chewelah's fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Reardan, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Chewelah is set to challenge their familiar foe Northwest Christian School at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cougars 3, the Crusaders 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Reardan will take on rival Newport at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
