La Salle Academy faced Chariho in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Sunday. The Rams came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chargers, sneaking past 5-3. The win was nothing new for the Rams as they're now sitting on six straight.

Hailey Vigneau spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lily Roumelis, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Elle Kershaw, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

La Salle Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in ten consecutive matches.

La Salle Academy's victory bumped their record up to 25-1. As for Chariho, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-8.
