After a string of four wins, Middletown Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They came up short against the Carroll Patriots, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2020.

Leading Carroll to victory were Hayley Clary and Gabbi Dooley. Clary had eight digs and three aces, while Dooley hit 55.6% for ten kills and 15 assists and five digs. That's the most aces Clary has posted over her last seven contests.

Middletown Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Carroll, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

Middletown Christian has already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Legacy Christian Academy on the 16th. As for Carroll, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Archbishop Alter on the 16th.
