Basketball Recap: Indian Lake Comes Up Short

Indian Lake suffered their closest defeat since January 11th on Tuesday. They fell just short of the West Liberty-Salem Tigers by a score of 62-60. The Lakers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Indian Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for West Liberty-Salem, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season.

Coming up, Indian Lake will challenge Shawnee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Indian Lake knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten games -- so hopefully Shawnee likes a good challenge. As for West Liberty-Salem, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers take on the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fairbanks will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something West Liberty-Salem surely won't give up without a fight.
