Football Recap: Fauquier Comes Up Short

Fauquier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warren County Wildcats. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 14-7 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Fauquier's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Warren County, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Fauquier will take on Kettle Run at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars' defense has only allowed five points per game this season, so the Falcons' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Warren County, they will square off against Meridian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
