Basketball Recap: Georgetown Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Georgetown and Dillon squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Georgetown had to settle for second. They were dealt a 60-18 loss at the hands of the Dillon Wildcats. The Bulldogs' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it 19 in a row.

Dillon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Treasure Davis led the charge by going 6-for-14 on her way to 15 points and eight steals. The dominant performance gave Davis a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Khwnylahi Mckinnon, who went 8-for-18 to rack up 17 points and five boards.

Georgetown's loss dropped their record down to 1-22. As for Dillon, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-3.

Georgetown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dillon, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-31 victory against Hanahan on the 20th.
