Recap: Bishop Lynch Friars vs. Central Catholic Buttons
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Bishop Lynch Friars walked away with it. They snuck past Central Catholic with a 17-13 victory on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bishop Lynch.
Despite the loss, Central Catholic still got an impressive performance from Jonathan Weinkam, who rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns.
Bishop Lynch's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Central Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Bishop Lynch will head out on the road to face off against St. Thomas Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in St. Thomas Catholic's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home while Bishop Lynch has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season. Central Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
