The biggest upset of the week belonged to Rocklin, who took down 41st ranked Granite Bay, 31-14. Logan Webb threw for 185 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 13 yards in the win.
The Thunder extended the longest winning streak in Sierra Foothill League this week by beating the Grizzlies, 31-14. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Greg Benzel's team's dynamic duo of Webb and Blake Laurin proved tough for Granite Bay to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Hayden Cook helped Rocklin's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 38 yards.
He went 12-19 with 1 interception.
Skip Albano's team's Josh Neal and Marc Ellis led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Neal has thrown for 1,359 yards this season, while Ellis has 49 catches for 744 yards. Del Oro's Dylan Kainrath leads the league in rushing yards with 806.
The Golden Eagles are in third place, while the Grizzlies are in second place.
Woodcreek moved up to 284 from 329 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Timberwolves climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Nevada Union 42-14.
