Indian Creek and Edinburgh are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2015, but likely not for long. The Braves will face off against the Lancers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Indian Creek has four straight wins, Edinburgh has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Indian Creek proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by ten) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Greenfield-Central 5-4.

Delaney Jones spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Kristen Soots was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one triple. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one triple the last three times she's played. Ma'Ryah Caul also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Meanwhile, Edinburgh came up short against Union County on Saturday and fell 11-6. That's two games in a row now that the Lancers have lost by exactly five runs.
Kenna Streeval was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Eloise Cox, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles.
Indian Creek's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Edinburgh, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Indian Creek hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.2 home runs per game. However, it's not like Edinburgh struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Indian Creek took their win against Edinburgh in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 16-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Braves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
