Cottonwood won against Murray last Thursday with 56 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Cottonwood Colts came out on top against the American Leadership Academy Eagles by a score of 56-45. The victory was familiar territory for the Colts who have now won nine contests in a row.

Cottonwood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Malei Atem led the charge by going 6 for 8 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds. Those 15 points gave Atem a new career-high. Tengis Bayasgalan was another key player, going 5 of 11 on his way to 15 points.

Despite the loss, American Leadership Academy still got an impressive performance from Jaxon Hunter, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Jackson, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.

Cottonwood's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for American Leadership Academy, they moved to 9-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Cottonwood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-50 defeat against Skyline on the 28th. As for American Leadership Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 83-70 loss against Mountain View on the 30th.
