Basketball Game Preview: North Hollywood Huskies vs. Poly Parrots

Two dominant guards in Caymen Smith and JD Wyatt are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The North Hollywood Huskies will square off against the Poly Parrots at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

North Hollywood is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Saturday. They fell 84-73 to Marshall. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (66), the Huskies still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Poly). They blew past Chavez, posting a 100-23 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

North Hollywood's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Poly, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

North Hollywood came up short against Poly in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 53-44. Can North Hollywood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
