Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only J.H. Rose walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Currituck County Knights a 6-0 shutout on Monday. The result was nothing new for J.H. Rose, who have now won eight contests by five goals or more so far this season.

J.H. Rose pushed their record up to 16-4-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those four matches. As for Currituck County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10-2 record this season.
