Volleyball Game Preview: Viburnum Blue Jays vs. South Iron Panthers

Viburnum hasn't had much luck against South Iron recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Blue Jays are taking a road trip to square off against the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Viburnum came up short against Ellington on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-15, 25-6.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when South Iron took on Winona on Tuesday. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Wildcats.

The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-10, 25-7.

Viburnum's defeat dropped their record down to 3-19. As for South Iron, their loss dropped their record down to 5-19.

Viburnum couldn't quite get it done against South Iron when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Blue Jays avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
