Basketball Recap: Braylon Price's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Northside over Warner Robins

Northside lost against Warner Robins two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Northside Eagles lost 77-57 to the Warner Robins Demons. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while the Demons are ranked 96th).

Northside lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Braylon Price, who posted 15 points and six assists. Price has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Chaston Brown was another key player, going 6 of 8 on his way to 12 points in addition to six boards and three blocks.

Price wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Northside was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.

Northside dropped their record down to 9-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Warner Robins, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Northside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-50 victory against Peach County on the 28th. Warner Robins has also already played their next contest, a 91-51 win against Perry on the 28th.
