Recap: Durham Academy Cavaliers vs. Charlotte Latin Hawks
The Durham Academy Cavaliers lost against the Charlotte Latin Hawks back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Durham Academy took a 56-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Charlotte Latin. It was the first time this season that Durham Academy let down their fans at home.
Despite the loss, Durham Academy still got an impressive performance from PJ Jeffries, who scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Ruth, who scored 6 points.
Durham Academy bumped their record down to 4-3 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Charlotte Latin, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
Durham Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Providence Day at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Charlotte Latin, they will head out on the road to face off against Ravenscroft at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
