Recap: Alchesay Falcons vs. Chinle Wildcats
The Alchesay Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. The contest between Alchesay and Chinle wasn't particularly close, with Alchesay falling 61-42. Alchesay has struggled against Chinle recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brent Aday, who scored 17 points along with two steals. Ty Gushoney was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Jostaiah Harvey continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Chinle, scoring 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Davian John, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Alchesay has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Chinle, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-4.
Alchesay will be playing at home against Chinle at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chinle, they will head out on the road to face off against Window Rock at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Window Rock will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 310th, while Chinle is ranked 115th).
