Volleyball Recap: Apollo Takes a Loss

Apollo lost against Shadow Ridge two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hawks fell 3-1 to the Stallions. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 23-25, 25-23, 25-23.

When it comes to explaining why Apollo lost, don't look at Jesus Jacinto. Despite the final result, he had 40 digs and two assists. Jacinto has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last 11 times he's played.

Apollo's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Shadow Ridge, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-23.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Apollo will host Glendale at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hawks are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Shadow Ridge, they will be playing at home against Highland at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Stallions surely won't give up without a fight.
