League recap: Powell races to league-leading run for Morton/White Pass

Morton/White Pass's Ben Powell recorded the longest rushing play in 2B Central this season in his game against Adna last week. Powell's team defeated the Pirates as he sprinted for 71 yards on the play and finished with 71 in all.

Mossyrock was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to fifth in the league. The Vikings vanquished Rainier 23-21 earlier in the week.

Morton/White Pass' dynamic duo of Rylon Kolb and Kalen Dunlap proved to be unstoppable against Adna, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Kolb threw for 193 yards and 2 touchdowns and Dunlap had 68 yards receiving.

Aaron Poquette's team's dynamic duo of Kolb and Dunlap proved tough for K.C. Johnson's team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Kyler Hazen was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 166 yards on 30 carries as Mossyrock beat the Pirates. Teammate Shaun Stephens added to the ground attack by rushing for 35 yards.

Kolb put up the best numbers in passing as Morton/White Pass beat Adna.

Dunlap was the best receiver in 2B Central this week as the Timberwolves defeated the Pirates.

Morton/White Pass' Kolb and Dunlap have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Kolb has thrown for 260 yards this season, while Dunlap has 4 catches for 111 yards. Hazen from Curtis Spahn's team leads the league in rushing with 226 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Napavine takes on Onalaska. The Tigers are in third place, while the Loggers are in second place.

Napavine moved up to 109 from 136 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Josh Fay's team climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Pe Ell 48-8.
