Baseball Game Preview: Hotchkiss School Bearcats vs. Westminster School Martlets

Hotchkiss School is 1-6 against Westminster School since April of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Bearcats will square off against the Martlets at 3:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Hotchkiss School came into this matchup off a tough 11-run defeat on Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Taft School by a score of 6-4 on Monday. The Bearcats just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Choate Rosemary Hall School hit Westminster School with a four-run sixth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Martlets lost 9-3 to the Wild Boars. The Martlets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Westminster School's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Hotchkiss School, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Hotchkiss School couldn't quite get it done against Westminster School in their previous meeting back in March as they fell 8-3. Can the Bearcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
