Basketball Recap: Ada Sets Scoring Season-High Against Harrah

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ada). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Harrah Panthers 67-23. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Ada got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brock Boyles out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tre Gray, who went 5 for 9 en route to 14 points and seven boards.

Ada was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Harrah only racked up four assists.

Despite the loss, Harrah saw an underclassman step up: freshman Iain Clark posted six points. Clark also put up an assist, which washis first of the season.

Ada's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Harrah, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-18 record this season.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cougars face off against the Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Harrah, they will face off against Blanchard at 7:30 a.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Blanchard has eight straight victories, Harrah has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
