Softball Recap: Sunrise Mountain Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Sunrise Mountain, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They blew past the Lake Havasu Knights 10-0 on Wednesday. Considering the Mustangs have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kaylee Pruetz was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Violet Eisentraut, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one stolen base.

Sunrise Mountain was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They are 11-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Sunrise Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Lake Havasu, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Sunrise Mountain will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Knights: the pair will be back at it again later today.
