Top 50 Georgia high school football players from the Class of 2021

Of the Top 50 Georgia recruits from the Class of 2021 according to 247Sports, 32 have already committed to FBS programs.

That's more than any of the "Big 3" high school football power states – Texas (29), Florida (24) and California (23).

The Georgia Bulldogs are the big winner thus far with seven in-state commits, followed by Clemson with five, Florida (four) and Tennessee and Georgia Tech (three each).



Of the 50, wide receivers and defensive backs make up most of the list with nine recruits each, followed by offensive linemen (seven), defensive linemen and linebackers (six each) and quarterbacks (five).

Also a sprinter and jumper in track and field, Mondon uses that speed and athleticism to chase down ball carriers and quarterbacks. He has a whopping 37 college offers, including Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia and Oklahoma. He's a five-star recruit, the No. 2 outside linebacker prospect and No. 25 overall.

The No. 3 rated guard in the country and No. 50 recruit overall, also has 19 offers, but appears to be choosing between Alabama, Florida State and Georgia.

6. Barrett Carter, North Gwinnett (Suwanee)
6-1 | 220 | OLB | Clemson
The Tigers are getting the nation's No. 4 rated senior linebacker. He reportedly has received 56 college offers. With 4.59 speed in the 40, a 4.22 shuttle time and a nearly 36-inch vertical leap, Carter certainly has all the essential numbers.

7. Micah Morris, Camden County (Kingsland)

The nation's No. 9 rated senior tackle picked the Bulldogs over Alabama, Auburn, Clemson and Florida, among others.

8. David Daniel, Woodstock
6-2 | 185 | ATH | Georgia
Picked Georgia over 27 other offers while being recruited on both sides of the ball.

9. Jordan Hancock, North Gwinnett (Suwanee)
6-1 | 170 | CB | Clemson
Ranked the seventh-best cornerback in the country, Hancock "turned in a stellar junior season against some of the nation's toughest competition in Georgia's highest classification," Power wrote.



10. Nyland Green, Newton (Covington)
6-2 | 183 | CB | Undecided
Ranked the No. 8 cornerback in the country, Green has 33 college offers, including Auburn, Clemson, Georgia and LSU, which are among his favorites.

11. Cody Brown, Parkview (Lilburn)

The No. 10 cornerback in the country has 32 offers, but appears to be heading West, with Oregon and USC as top suitors.

13. Dylan Fairchild, West Forsyth (Cumming)
6-5 | 298 | OG | Georgia
Also a state champion wrestler — he went 47-0 as a junior — Fairchild is ranked the No. 7 guard in the country. He picked Georgia over 19 other offers, including Alabama, Arkansas and Auburn, among others. "Plays with natural flexibility and bend with the ability to sink his hips and play with a low, centered base," Power said.

14. Jonathan Jefferson, Douglas County (Douglasville)
6-4 | 255 | DE | Georgia
Had 77 tackles including 15 sacks as a junior with four forced fumbles and four pass breakups.

15. Cane Berrong, Hart County (Hartwell, Ga.)
6-4 | 230 | TE | Notre Dame
Had 43 catches for 486 yards and four touchdowns last season. Also a track and field and baseball standout, Berrong "shows competency with a full complement of routes," Simmons wrote. "Good plan as a route-runner, consistent catcher, influences as blocker more than overpowers." He has 30 college offers.

16. Decari Collins, Westlake (Atlanta)
6-4 | 200 | WR | Clemson
The Tigers like the long, vertical receivers and Collins fits the bill. He had 39 catches for 696 yards and six touchdowns as a junior.

17. Carlos Del Rio, Grayson (Loganville)
6-3 | 201 | QB | Florida
In three seasons as a prep, he has completed 343 of 588 for 4,655 yards and 40 touchdowns. Last season he also rushed for 572 yards and eight scores. That was all at McEachern (Powder Springs). He transferred to Grayson and is now the 11th-ranked pro-style quarterback in the country.

18. Jaquez Smith, Westlake (Atlanta)

Has earned 26 college offers, including Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State and Arkansas.



Had 21 catches for 238 yards and a touchdown last season, but with 4.6 speed in the 40 and a 34-inch vertical is athletic enough to have earned 26 offers, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida and Florida State.

20. Zavier Carter, Hapeville Charter (Atlanta)
6-4 | 198 | LB | LSU
Has 65 career tackles, 10 for losses with seven sacks. Has 26 offers, but picked the defending national champions over Alabama, Miami, Michigan and Notre Dame among others.

21. Daejon Reynolds, Grayson (Loganville)
6-2 | 195 | WR | Florida
Had a huge junior season with 88 catches for 1,534 yards and 14 touchdowns.

22. Aaron McLaughlin, Denmark (Alpharetta)
6-5 | 219 | QB | North Carolina State
Completed 134 of 220 passes last season for 2,018 yards and 17 touchdowns. Rated the No. 13 pro-style quarterback in the country, McLaughlin is quick on his feet, having been timed at 4.71 in the 40-yard dash. He also recorded a 36.4-inch vertical jump.

23. Julian Nixon, Centennial (Roswell)
6-3 | 230 | WR | Tennessee
Big, physical target, Nixon is ranked the No. 43 wide receiver in the country. He picked the Vols over 20 others that had made him offers.

24. Chaz Chambliss, Carrollton
6-2 | 239 | OLB | Georgia
In two seasons he has recorded 164 tackles, 48 for losses, including 16.5 sacks. Has 27 offers, but picked the Bulldogs over Alabama and Clemson among others.

25. Chief Borders, Carrollton

What a one-two punch Borders and Chambliss make at linebacker for Carrollton. Has 23 college offers, but picked the Gators over Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Oregon and Tennessee among others.

Speed, speed and more speed for Tatum, who has been timed at 4.6 seconds in the 40. Ranked the No. 25 outside linebacker in the country, Tatum has 16 college offers.

28. Khari Gee, Woodward Academy (College Park)

Had 58 tackles, four for loss, with six pass breakups, a forced fumble and fumble recovery last season. Picked the defending national champions over 33 others that made offers, including Clemson, Duke, Florida State, Michigan, USC and Oregon.

The big and strong defensive end is rated the No. 26 player at his position in the country. He's got 22 firm college offers, but appears to be picking between Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, Missouri and Oklahoma.

30. Zamon Ross, Schley County (Ellaville)

Ranked the No. 26 safety in the country, Ross has 10 college offers, including Florida, Florida State, Kentucky and Nebraska. He has three career interceptions to go along with 72 tackles, 1,992 rushing yards and 27 touchdowns. He's also a solid receiving option with 25 career catches for 375 yards and four more scores.

31. Weston Franklin, Wayne County (Jesup)

Ranked the No. 20 guard in the country, Franklin showed good speed and a strong shuttle time of 4.72 at a 2018 combine. Among his 15 offers are Arizona, Georgia Tech, LSU, Louisville and Miami.

32. George Jackson, Stephenson (Stone Mountain)

Jackson committed to Florida way back on Nov. 17, 2018. That hasn't stopped other schools from trying to lure him away, including Auburn, South Carolina, Florida State and Tennessee.

33. Victoine Brown, Grayson (Loganville)

Brown committed to the Cardinals on March 20. He had plenty of schools to choose from with 40 offers, including Arizona State, Florida, Illinois, Iowa and LSU.

34. Marlin Dean, Elbert County (Elberton)

Ranked the No. 28 defensive tackle in the country, Dean picked the Bulldogs over 12 other schools he has received offers from, including Auburn, Florida State, Mississippi State, Penn State and Texas A&M.

36. Tyler Morehead, Clinch County (Homerville)

There's not much Morehead can't do on the field and several colleges agree, including Clemson, North Carolina State, Florida State and East Carolina, which are the schools he's considering most at this point.

37. Miles Campbell, South Paulding (Douglasville)

Has 122 career catches for 1,153 yards and 10 touchdowns in two seasons for South Paulding. A tremendous athlete, Campbell started his career as a quarterback and played significantly as a freshman. He's piled up 32 college offers, and picked the Vols over Georgia Tech, Auburn, Duke, Florida and Michigan State among others.

38. Chauncey Magwood, Lee County (Leesburg)
6-0 | 187 | WR | Kentucky
Has 46 career catches for 755 yards and six touchdowns for the Trojans, who went 11-2 last season. Magwood picked the Wildcats over 23 other schools, including Arkansas, Florida State, Louisville, Michigan and Texas.

39. Jayden Johnson, Cedartown

Ranked the No. 25 athlete overall in the country, Johnson has 18 offers, but appears to be leaning toward either Arkansas, East Carolina, Georgia Tech, Kansas State and Memphis.

40. Lemeke Brockington, Colquitt County (Norman Park)

Piled up 53 catches for 923 yards and 13 touchdowns as a junior, drawing attention from 20 colleges who made offers. Brockington picked the Gophers over such schools as Duke, Cincinnati, Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee.

41. Bryson Estes, Eagle's Landing Christian Academy (McDonough)

Rated the No. 8 center in the country, Estes has piled up 30 offers but appears to be leaning toward either Arizona State, Florida State, Missouri, Nebraska or Penn State.



42. Bubba Chandler, North Oconee (Bogart)

A tremendous two-sport athlete, Chandler plans to play both football and baseball at Clemson. He's also a scratch golfer. He completed 167 of 220 for 2,098 yards with 27 touchdowns last season for North Oconee, which went 10-2.

43. Leo Blackburn, Westlake (Atlanta)

Ranked the No. 24 tight end in the country, Blackburn picked the Yellowjackets over Arizona State, Duke and Colorado among others. After playing quarterback as a sophomore, Blackburn caught 13 passes for 240 yards in four games last season.

Strong, physical and fleet, Slocum has 22 college offers on the table, including Alabama, Duke, Florida and Florida State.

45. Colten Gauthier, Hebron Christian Academy (Dacula)

Over two seasons, Gauthier has completed 288 of 511 for 4,489 yards and 39 touchdowns. Has 23 offers, but picked the Gamecocks over Florida State, Duke, Colorado, Miami and Louisville, among others.

Blessed with 4.6 speed in the 40, the basketball and football standout has 31 college football offers, but appears to be leaning toward either Duke, Iowa, Georgia Tech, Iowa or Indiana.

Had a breakout junior season with 63 catches for 1,261 yards and nine touchdowns. Among his college offers are Oregon, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh and Maryland.

At least 14 FBS schools have made scholarship offers to Bryant, including Georgia Tech, Arkansas, Kansas, Nebraska, Ole Miss and West Virginia. He had 66 tackles, six interceptions and six pass deflections during a breakout junior season.

50. Noah Collins, Grayson (Loganville)

Had 46 tackles, six for losses last season for Grayson, helping to earn 27 college offers. He picked Georgia Tech over such schools as Arizona State, Arkansas, Baylor, Florida, LSU and Notre Dame.
