Football Recap: Centennial Skates Past Chavez with Ease + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Independence, Centennial was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 28-0 victory over the Chavez Titans. The Golden Hawks' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Centennial can attribute much of their success to Preston Shults, who picked up 76 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Those 76 receiving yards gave Shults a new career-high.

Centennial's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Chavez, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centennial is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will challenge St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. As for Chavez, they will venture away from home to take on South at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Titans will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
