After a string of eight wins, Salem's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 54-38 bruising from the Mountain View Yellowjackets. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Greyhounds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 36-31 back in December of 2024.

Salem's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5. As for Mountain View, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Salem and Mountain View should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Arkansas Rankings. Salem (ranked 28th) will meet Cave City (ranked 204th) at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Salem is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. Meanwhile, Mountain View will take on Yellville-Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday up 112 places (22 vs. 134).
