Baseball Game Preview: Lakeshore vs. Destrehan Wildcats

Lakeshore hasn't had much luck against Destrehan recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. Lakeshore will be playing at home against the Destrehan Wildcats at 11:00 p.m. Lakeshore's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Destrehan's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

While Lakeshore's victory against Loranger wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Lakeshore came out on top against Loranger on Wednesday by a score of 3-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Lakeshore has posted since March 6th.

Meanwhile, Destrehan suffered their closest loss since March 12, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Archbishop Shaw by a score of 6-4. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lakeshore's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-10. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Destrehan, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8.
