Basketball Game Preview: Ashland Blue Devils vs. Baldwyn Bearcats

Ashland is 0-5 against Baldwyn since February of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Blue Devils will face off against the Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. Ashland has given up an average of 64.4 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Tuesday, Ashland took a blow against Magnolia Heights, falling 62-35. The contest marked the Blue Devils' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Baldwyn got the win against North Pontotoc on Monday by a conclusive 63-39. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bearcats.

Baldwyn's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Ashland, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Ashland came up short against Baldwyn in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 53-48. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
