Soccer Game Preview: Pleasanton vs. Floresville

The Pleasanton Eagles will face off against the Floresville Tigers/Jaguars at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Pleasanton is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

Pleasanton's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Somerset with a sharp 5-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won six games by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Floresville managed to keep up with Uvalde until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Floresville came up short against Uvalde, falling 3-0. The Tigers/Jaguars have struggled against the Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Floresville's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-6. As for Pleasanton, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
