Softball Recap: Muir Mustangs vs. Glendora Tartans

Muir was not the first on the board on Wednesday, but they got there more often. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Glendora Tartans 4-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Jazmin Jaquez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Muir's record now sits at 13-6. As for Glendora, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7.

Coincidentally, Muir and Glendora will both be playing Arcadia the next time they take the field. The Mustangs will host the Apaches at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, while the Tartans will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
