Recap: Taylor County Bulldogs vs. Riverside Christian Wranglers
The Taylor County Bulldogs can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Riverside Christian 55-15 on the road. Taylor County's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Taylor County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was LeeAsia Johnson, who scored 17 points. The matchup was Johnson's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Irene Meler, who scored 13 points.
Taylor County's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5. As for Riverside Christian, they bumped their record down to 0-7 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
Taylor County will be home for the holidays to greet Suwannee at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Riverside Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Redeemer Christian at 4:30 p.m. on December 12th. Hopefully Redeemer Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Monday.
