Volleyball Recap: Northeastern Clinton Cougars vs. Beekmantown Eagles

Northeastern Clinton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 26th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Beekmantown Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-7, 25-10.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Beekmantown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Peyton Hooker, who had eight kills, seven aces, and three digs. That's the most aces Hooker has posted since back in September. Emily Perry was another key player, getting seven digs and seven aces.

Northeastern Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Beekmantown, their win bumped their record up to 12-4.

Northeastern Clinton will host Peru at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Beekmantown has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Saranac on the 24th.
