Basketball Recap: Heritage Takes a Loss

On Thursday, the Heritage Patriots came up short against the Archer Tigers and fell 50-40. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 234th, while the Tigers are ranked 43rd).

Heritage has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Archer, their win bumped their record up to 13-6.

Heritage will head out to face off against Alcovy at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Alcovy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Heritage likes a good challenge. As for Archer, they will welcome Grovetown at 6:30 p.m. on January 17th.
