Baseball Recap: Belmont Comes Up Short

Belmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 11-3 to the Booneville Blue Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-4 on Tuesday.

Belmont saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Pharr, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Belmont's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Booneville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-13.

While Belmont had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
