It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Thurston can now relate to. They came up short against the Trenton Trojans on Saturday, falling 42-22. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Eagles, who until this matchup were averaging 14.1 points allowed.

Trenton was led to victory by Anthony Hawkins and Tyler Crook. Hawkins rushed for 125 yards and four scores while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, while Crook rushed for 196 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries. Crook really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.

This is the second loss in a row for Thurston and nudges their season record down to 6-4. As for Trenton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Thurston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Trenton, they will face off against King at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Crusaders' defense has only allowed 12.4 points per game this season, so the Trojans' offense will have their work cut out for them.
