Football Game Preview: Niles West Wolves vs. Maine East Blue Demons

Niles West is on a five-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Maine East a five-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Niles West Wolves will square off against the Maine East Blue Demons at 7:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Niles West's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Hersey on Friday. They were beaten by the Huskies 56-0. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 289th, while the Huskies are ranked 39th).

Meanwhile, Maine East also failed to score in their most recent game. They had to suffer through a 72-0 loss at the hands of Rolling Meadows.

Maine East's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Niles West, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 0-4.
