Recap: Crystal City Javelinas vs. Randolph Ro-Hawks
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Crystal City Javelinas can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Randolph on Thursday, falling 49-0. While losing is never fun, Crystal City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 960th, while Randolph is ranked 383rd).
Randolph got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cody Howard out in front who rushed for 38 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Collin Stucki, who threw for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only four passes.
This is the second loss in a row for Crystal City and nudges their season record down to 2-9. As for Randolph, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-1.
Crystal City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Randolph will head out on the road to face off against Industrial at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Industrial is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
