Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Lucy Boos and Calli Conley Lead Lake to Victory

Lake won the last time they faced Fostoria and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Flyers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Redmen.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lake took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-10, 25-12.

Leading Lake to victory were Calli Conley and Lucy Boos. Conley had eight digs and three aces, while Boos hit 75% for seven kills and nine aces and six digs. The last time Boos' hitting percentage was this high was back in August of 2024.

They weren't the only good server: Lake was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Despite the defeat, Fostoria saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ahmani Lee had nine digs and seven assists.

Lake's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Fostoria, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Lake has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Genoa Area on the 28th. As for Fostoria, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Maumee on the 28th.
