Softball Recap: Cobden Appleknockers vs. Agape Christian Knights

After losing to Agape Christian the last time they met, Cobden decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Appleknockers came out on top against the Knights by a score of 12-8 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Appleknockers.

Abby Pitts made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off one hit. Pitts was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

In other batting news, Keela Kaszubski was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Roberts, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Cobden now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Agape Christian, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
