Basketball Recap: Trinity Takes a Loss

Trinity came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were outmatched by the La Vernia Bears and fell 73-26. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Trinity still got an impressive performance from Alexa Pruitt, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 12 rebounds.

Trinity has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season. As for La Vernia, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-5.

Trinity didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-40 loss against Salado on the 30th. As for La Vernia, they have also already played their next game, a 37-27 victory against St. Pius X on the 30th.
