Softball Recap: West Valley Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

With a playoff win on the line, West Valley rose to the challenge on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Lassen Grizzlies with a sharp 8-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 18 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Cadynce Gippner made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, Adelinn Carter was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double. Madison Pemberton was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

The victory (which was West Valley's fourth in a row) raised their record to 27-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Lassen, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 21-8 record.

As of now, neither West Valley nor the Grizzlies have any future games scheduled.
