Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Legacy Christian Academy). Everything went their way against the Yellow Springs Bulldogs on Friday as they made off with  a  17-4 victory. Considering the Knights have won six games by more than nine  runs this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Jacob Thompson made a big impact no matter where he played. He  struck out nine batters over  six innings while giving up  four earned runs off   six  hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-5 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in April.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Justin Harphant, who  went 3-for-4 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  double. That's the most  hits  he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Joshua King, who  got on base  in three of his five plate appearances with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 Legacy Christian Academy  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 17  hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  hit total in three consecutive  contests.
Legacy Christian Academy is  on a roll lately: they've  won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Yellow Springs,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-5.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Legacy Christian Academy will welcome Greenon  at 5:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Yellow Springs, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Trotwood-Madison  at 5:00  p.m.
