Softball Game Preview: Wonderview Daredevils vs. Waldron Bulldogs

The Wonderview Daredevils will challenge the Waldron Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row dating back to last season, Wonderview turned things around against Guy-Perkins on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 15-2 margin over the Thunderbirds.

Kaydence Scott and Emma Hartsfield did most of the damage at the plate: Scott scored two runs while going 3-for-4, while Hartsfield went 2-for-4 with five RBI. Another player making a difference was Jacie Jones, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Wonderview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Waldron, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Ozark 8-7 on Tuesday.

Harlow Dickens was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Lauren Shores was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.

Waldron's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Wonderview, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
