Softball Recap: Hazen Comes Up Short

Hazen fell victim to Harvey and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 7-0 to the Hornets. The loss continues a trend for the Bison in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost three in a row.

Ava Jungers spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up nine Ks. Those nine strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

Hazen's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Harvey, they pushed their record up to 9-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Hazen will head out to take on Beulah at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harvey, they will face off against Nedrose at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
