Baseball Recap: Guilford Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Guilford can now relate to. They lost 10-4 to the Huntley Red Raiders on Thursday.

Guilford saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keelan Jones, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Riley Kegley was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one double.

Guilford dropped their record down to 11-13 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Huntley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-15 record this season.

Guilford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Huntley, they will square off against DeKalb at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Barbs will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Red Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
