Basketball Recap: Maysville Triumphs

After losing to Alex the last time they met, Maysville decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Maysville Warriors snuck past the Alex Longhorns with a 38-32 victory on Thursday. The 38-point effort marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Maysville is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.8 points per game. As for Alex, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-6 record this season.
