Softball Recap: Bloomfield Cardinals vs. Vincennes Lincoln Alices
Bloomfield was the 4-2 winner over Vincennes Lincoln when they last played one another back in May of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Bloomfield Cardinals took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vincennes Lincoln Alices on Wednesday. Bloomfield has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bloomfield saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lila Koontz, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklynne Miller, who went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
On Vincennes Lincoln's side, Kahre McCrary was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
Bloomfield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Vincennes Lincoln, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season.
