Evansville Mater Dei is 8-2 against Evansville Reitz since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Wildcats will welcome the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Evansville Mater Dei is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Evansville Mater Dei turned things around against Terre Haute North Vigo on Saturday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Patriots.

Addi Boots made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned run off eight hits. Boots was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Kaylynn Jones was excellent, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Evansville Reitz suffered their biggest loss since March 27th on Wednesday. They lost 18-1 to Castle. The Panthers have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Evansville Reitz's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Evansville Mater Dei, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.

Evansville Mater Dei came out on top in a nail-biter against Evansville Reitz in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 5-3. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
