Basketball Recap: Chattanooga Central Comes Up Short

Chattanooga Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the East Hamilton Hurricanes 70-13. The Pounders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-5.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Hamilton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kailey Hilvers, who posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Arianna Calhoun, who had 14 points.

Chattanooga Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for East Hamilton, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-8.

Chattanooga Central will head out to challenge East Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Hamilton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bradley Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bradley Central's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
