Greencastle had won five straight games and Sam Gooch did his part to make it six on Thursday. The Greencastle Tiger Cubs strolled past the Monrovia Bulldogs with points to spare, taking the game 64-49 thanks in part to Gooch, who went 9-for-12 to rack up 23 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in November of 2024.

Another player making a difference was Connor Sullivan, who made all 5 shots he took for 14 points. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 42.6% three-point shooting accuracy.

Clay Tharp and Hayden Mccloud certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Tharp went 7-for-13 en route to 17 points along with six assists and four steals, while Mccloud went 8-for-18 on his way to 21 points and seven rebounds. Tharp is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played.

Greencastle's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Monrovia, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Greencastle has already played their next match, a 67-26 victory against Brown County on the 8th. As for Monrovia, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-52 defeat against Tri-West Hendricks on the 11th.
