Basketball Recap: Jesse Mutombo and Kaden Richardson Secure Win for Chisholm Trail

Chisholm Trail's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 59-46 victory over the Mansfield Tigers.

Chisholm Trail was led to victory by Kaden Richardson and Jesse Mutombo. Richardson posted 20 points and eight assists, while Mutombo went 7 of 14 on his way to 19 points and six rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Richardson has scored at least a third of Chisholm Trail's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Omari Johnson, who put up five points and nine rebounds.

Chisholm Trail's record now sits at 10-7. As for Mansfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9.

Chisholm Trail wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 69-43 win against McKinney on the 28th. As for Mansfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 76-54 victory against Shoemaker on the 28th.
